An institute for evidence, not rhetoric.
NLPAI is a proposed research-led national leadership and public affairs institute, with a dedicated — and deliberately separated — political strategy and campaign management office.
Independent candidate होइन — Independent Evaluation.
NLPAI does not ask whether someone belongs to a party or stands as an independent. It asks whether they have the evidence, capability, integrity, public-service record and performance the role demands — and measures everyone against the same published standards.
To contribute to a Nepal where capable and accountable leadership, informed public decisions and effective institutions help communities achieve sustainable development.
To research regional challenges, strengthen leadership capacity, evaluate political and institutional performance, support evidence-informed campaign strategies and promote transparent, responsible public affairs.
Six commitments that govern every report.
Objectivity
Consistent standards and evidence-based analysis.
Integrity
Honesty, verification and responsible conduct.
Public service
Community needs before personal interests.
Accountability
Track commitments and measure outcomes.
Knowledge
Research, learning and informed decisions.
Regional inclusion
Local realities and national development.
What NLPAI sets out to do.
Four activities usually handled separately — understanding regions, evaluating leadership, supporting campaigns and leaders, and monitoring delivery — brought into one coherent institution.
Diagnose communities and regions
Economic conditions, education, health, employment, infrastructure, demographics, public services and local governance.
Assess leadership
Consistent evaluation criteria for candidates and public representatives.
Strengthen campaigns
Help leaders and campaign teams use research, clear planning and organised execution.
Improve policy
Convert field research into practical recommendations for institutions and decision-makers.
Monitor commitments
Compare promises, budgets, projects, delivery and outcomes.
Develop future leaders
Leadership, public administration, communication, policy and ethical decision-making.
Inform citizens
Make research and candidate evaluations understandable and accessible to the public.
Support regional development
Identify local assets, economic opportunities and barriers to progress.
Two functions under one roof.
The Institute
Leadership education, regional diagnosis, candidate assessment, public policy research, governance monitoring and civic engagement.
The Strategy Office
Campaign planning, political advisory, campaign research, field-team coordination, communication strategy and performance analysis.
Safeguarded separation. The two functions use separate teams and published rules. Read our independence standards
